I suspect the age of the vehicle and the previous environment (Puget Sound) have more to do with the wiring problem than anything else. The climate here is so hot and dry that anything synthetic is going to decay much sooner than say, in Northern Cal.

The mechanic who is doing the work is an ex-drag racer and has always worked on his own vehicles as well as for others. Luckily for me, he has a soft spot for widows, and tries to give them the best job he can for the least amount of money.

I don’t know if I will have it back today, but I know when I get it, it will be running fine.

And thanks for the prayers! You know I always appreciate them!

you wandered around and got lost?

Oh yes, these things have to be done.
Today was a trip in the Fog to Whitby, traveling over the North Yorkshire Moors.
The Small sea side town from where James Cook started his little trip around the world.
There is a modern reproduction of his boat that does trips around the bay. The man was mad going to sea in something that small!
The Town is best described as mini-York-on-sea.
LOads of oldy worldy to get lost in...great. :)
The Whitby Jet stone is like clean coal.
Tomorrow depends on the weather forcast. They promised 'Nice'.

I saw a mystery show set in Whitby. I think it was historical ... maybe one of the Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes programs.

I read all about the jet industry, too, for some reason.

Maybe it was a “Lovejoy” episode, with that darkly handsome Ian McShane.

I can go see if they’re sleeping in Elen and Sally’s room, since the girls aren’t here.

Adios! Careful in the fog!

If it’s bedtime there, I’m sure my mom and the girls will be having an early night, or already did.

I don’t know if it’s still there, but San Francisco had a replica of the Golden Hind. And you’re right, Moosie — those folks were CRAZY!

We all had our photos taken on it and I’m surprised there was even room to maneuver on the decks...

Golden Hind/Pelican was even worse than Cook’s ship.
Must go.

Good night.
