As a self-described constitutionalist, I'm teed off at any "conservative" who is erroneously claiming that Cruz a Natural Born Citizen. The definition of NBC, as understood by the framers, is the Vattel definition: born under the flag of the nation to parents both of whom were citizens of that nation at the time of the birth. Cruz clearly does not qualify on two counts. He is a citizen at birth, but not a Natural Born Citizen. The latter is a subset of the former.

I just don't understand this Cruz for President infatuation - over a man who has been in federal public office for less than a year - when yet another clause of the Constitution has to be turned on its head in order for it to work. Cruz is a good guy, but as Theodore Roosevelt famously said, NO MAN IS ABOVE THE LAW. The Constitution is the supreme law of the land!

There are a number of other good Republican candidates for the White House in 2016 who are head and shoulders above anything the 'Rats can offer and who pass the Natural Born Citizen test with flying colors.

Conform to the Constitution and pick an outstanding and constitutionally eligible candidate for the POTUS in 2016, and let Ted Cruz serve with distinction in the Senate for many years to come.
