The Speaker of the US House of Representatives can be anyone that the Members of the House choose, even someone who is not currently a Member.
My choice is Col. Allen West, formerly a Member of the House from Florida, and a proven FIGHTER when in the US Army.
The Speaker is elected by the full House, and serves as long as the Members allow him to do so.
All that needs to be done to replace a dysfunctional Speaker is for the Members to call for a vote and vote in a new Speaker.
Boehner’s Ohio District voters have nothing to do with choosing a Speaker. That is the sole responsibility of the Members of the House.

Yes, I know that, but I wonder if there are enough Republican members who would vote Boehner out. So far there haven’t been enough, as Boehner is still there after more than one election.
