It’s a mixed race kid just like Zero, and half the population of Puerto Rico (they call it grifo) and a quarter of the population of the DR. (they call it jabado) and too many to count in New Orleans. He looks like he has one mulatto parent and one white, which would give him three white grandparents.

That’s a reasonable assumption. That would make him a quadroon under older classifications.
I’m half Cherokee. When I bleached my hair blonde and stayed away from the sun people thought I was Scandinavian probably because of the red tint to the skin. Never really fooled people at a pow wow.
