You're absolutely right. This country has "jumped the shark." I doubt that what has happened can be undone. Some would call it defeatism; others would call it realism.
It’s no longer defeatism when there’s nothing you can do to change course. I’m still pondering whether conservatives should just go ahead an join the Democrat Party to make life a little bit more annoying for Hillary. It would be humorous if we could watch Ted Cruz, Joe Brainless Biden and Hildabeast debate each other for the Democratic nomination. Wouldn’t it be a nightmare for Hillary to lose the Democrat nod in 2016 to a conservative?
Like a house that has been let go for so long it is not reparable, but can only be torn down, this country has had it. At this point, might as well help push the country, or what is left of it, over the edge. Biden would help do that. Who is John Galt.
