Keep contacting the House Republicans using their local offices. now is the time when we can stop the horrible amnesty bill while they home and not in DC. we have this opportunity now. when they get back to DC much harder to stop.

Only chance to stop the Amnesty bill is for the House not to consider any immigration related bill at all.

Michelle Bachman explained it. ANY House bill no matter if it promises all the border security in the world will be a trojan horse.NO bill at all must come out of the House because it will be merged with the Senate Amnesty and trojan horse bill. Call congress.

Tell them to stop all Amnesty or immigration bills.they are all trojan horse bills. some will promise border security that will never be enforced anyway.

Bachmann explained it . The House will write a border security bill only . then in conference the senate will add the virus and then bring it back to the house. then the conservatives won’t vote for it but democrats will all vote for it so then they only need 10% of republicans to pass Amnesty and the virus that will destroy America. so any bill at all will be added the virus . so best thing is for Boner to not let any immigration bill at all come out of the House. that is the only hope . call boner and the members of the House.

Tom Tancredo echos what Michelle Bachmann said.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3036438/posts

call congress . no bill at all from the House

and of course boner must not bring the Senate bill for the House to vote on. no senate bill, no border security bill from the House .nothing

This is despite plenty of evidence that one big reason so many undocumented people have taken up residence in the United States is because crossing the border with Mexico has become so difficult and perilous.

This claim makes no sense whatsoever.

Republicans are “hardliners” who “scuttle” “reform”

Don’t you just love the way the press uses such negative language against Republicans and positive language for Democrats in editorializing — I mean reporting — on a story?

Wasn’t Organizing for America supposed to be having a massive show of force in August on everything from immigration to green energy to Obamacare?

8/16/13 Obama Presidency A Lengthening Legacy Of Lawlessness
Investors.com ^ | August 16, 2013 | Editorial / FR Posted by jazusamo

Obama's approval numbers are now hitting record lows, yet his critics are often written off as simple- minded "Obama haters." It doesn't wash. The problem is a pattern of presidential lawlessness.

Last time we checked, the Constitution requires the president to "faithfully execute the law." That's no editorial opinion, but Article 2, Section 3, Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution, which states that "(The President) shall take care that the Laws be faithfully executed."

Our founders conceived and established in that document three co-equal branches of government to preserve our individual liberty and restrain the unlimited power of government. But this president and his administration have routinely ignored the divisions of power between the presidency, the Congress and its legislation, and the Supreme Court and its rulings. Constitutionally, the president has the authority to check the legislative branch by recommending legislation to be passed by Congress or through the presidential veto.

But he cannot legislate through executive fiat and he can't pick and choose which parts of the law he will comply with or decline. Nor can he defy judicial rulings from the highest court in the land. But that's what he's done. In just the latest example, President Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder has directed federal prosecutors to conceal the amount of drugs seized during an arrest to circumvent mandatory minimum sentences set by Congress in 1986.

Whether one agrees with that law or not, its legal authority lies within the constitutional powers of Congress, not the executive branch. And that's the issue. It's part of a growing litany of presidential lawlessness:

• Aug. 14, 2013: The Obama administration delayed the provision in ObamaCare to cap out-of-pocket health care costs, picking and choosing parts of the law to enforce, which is to exceed its authority. (Excerpt) Read more at news.investors.com ...

Why is this always the fault of the hard-liners? Hard liners have backbone. Backbone is good. Without the backbones of the Founders, we wouldn’t have a country at all.

Glad to see someone is growing some testicles. If they grew more maybe they would expell McCain and Aunt lindsey from the GOP caucus.

The author of this Slimes piece, David Horsey, has a really humorous writing style.../s

The so-called "hardliners" he's talking about is the RNC with the ridiculous resolution they passed, last week, calling for immigration reform...but, with border enforcement first...where've we heard that before??

Then, he manages to get this nice slap in at the very end of his hit piece...

Since the rise of tea party politicians in 2010 and the election of many of their kind to Congress, the inflexible and sometimes irrational opposition of these right-wing absolutists has stymied sensible bipartisan legislation that could help fix a broad array of problems, from creating jobs to building roads and bridges. Thanks to them, immigration reform may be the next good idea that goes nowhere.

(Emphasis, mine.)

I needed a BARF alert for all of that leftist drivel.

Project much, Davy??

“TWO WORDS: BLUE SLIP”

Yeah, the senate is just desperate for the House to act first. And Boehner and company are just stupid enough to make that happen. However, if the Senate doesn’t send the bill to the House, then a discharge petition cannot be filed.

So the game is probably a tricky game of timing. Reid will release the bill to the House at just the right moment if the House fails to pass their own bill. I’m sure they have a little playbook with every possible outcome and then an associating action, like a chess game. They’re very insidious.
