When asked about the rift between Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and Governor Chris Christie (R-NJ) on FOX News this morning, Sarah Palin said she is on "Team Rand." Palin said, "he gets the whole notion of 'Dont Tread on Me' government, whereas Chris Christie is for big government."

Thanks!
Never a doubt!
The crux of the matter. Who is for following the Constitution and who ain’t.
I think Jeb Bush just broke out in a cold sweat.
I disagree with most here.
She shouldn;t make an endorsement this early as she has a big target from the MSM and she hasn’t learned her lesson after 8 years. Now the MSM will have time to dig up dirt for Rand at this early a stage. Palin should have kept her mouth shut for the time being and declared it later in the game to catch everyone off-guard.
I respectfully disagree.
Palin needs to ramp it up and fight, if she’s going to be president.
She’s had quite a long time on the sidelines, at home and with her family.
If she’s going to lead America she needs to start mixing it up right now.
Especially if that involves a party other than the GOP.
Stand up and fight Palin.
If not now, then at least soon.
There are a whole lot, just waiting for her say-so.
“If not now, then at least soon.”
She does not know how to handle the MSM, and they have her number. She actually thought she could outsmart them but she got outsmarted in the end. She’s not running for prez BTW, hence, the RP endorsement. She even gauged running 2 years ago and it fizzled, leaving a lot of supporters hanging.
I believe she should run, but she needs a different approach not only how to deal with the left but also the GOPe, aka the enemy within.
Not sure.
I say she should mix is up right now.
Just saying.
She’s better at handling the press than you’re giving her credit for, I believe.
Ted Cruz needs her further support as well.
Do what??
I agree with you, and it’s really early. I’d rather have a governor at the top of the ticket, and a mouth (a/k/a Senator) in the 2nd spot. Maybe somebody will emerge. If Scott Walker would get right on the Dream Act, he would be pretty close to perfect.
However, I've become convinced that the future of this country in the long run is not in the hands of the Pauls and Palins of this world. It's in the hands of the American people. The history of America is a history of a free society. Freedom, as Reagan once pointed out, is the lack of govenmnt coercion. The less government, the more free we are. The more government, the less free we are.
The only way America will recover/maintain its freedom (limited government) is if the American people take ownership once again of this great land and demand that politicians (good or bad - there will ALWAYS be both) do the right thing (shrink government and keep it shrunk), be accountable and get ousted if they fail their duty to the Constitution, the people, and the country. In the long run, the only language the politicians understand is the TRUE THREAT of ouster. A country with a government (politicians) that fears the people prolongs its tranquility and happiness as a free society.
>>We are headed for a trainwreck in a junkyard
Oh look - there’s an ice berg going past the window and, gee, why are the [ObamaCare] gates up to the deck locked?

I love Palin and Paul, but America is ultimately not in their hands but ours. We, the American people, must make it politically unprofitable for politicians to do the wrong thing. In the long run, that will be the only thing that matters.
Calvin Coolidge was a North East Yankee.
But of course.
The first one, yes the 'hit piece' on Reagan, is from an honest libertarian who acknowledges that libertarians disagreed with Reagan vehemently.
The second, yes Ron not Rand, also shows that libertarians (and their leader) loudly disagreed with Reagan.
My beef is with libertarians claiming Reagan is a libertarian, not Rand Paul specifically.
I stand firmly behind the statement, the point of my post, that Ronald Reagan was NOT a libertarian.
I’m on Team Sarah! I will follow her lead and listen to her advise!
Agreed. It will be the antidote to The DemonRAT Hildebeast—or the exterminator.
I believe that is a fact!
I have a hunch that if/when Palin runs for national office, there will be a strong enough strand of libertarianism in her platform as to cause some serious skull shrapnel here at FR.
