I wrote this for another purpose, but I may as well cut & paste it here as well:
I’ve been listening to Howie Carr lately. He’s a Boston-based conservative radio talker. He’s also a bestselling author & an investigative reporter. He’s been on a birther roll lately. What got him started was Reggie Love’s near slip of the tongue. In speaking of Obama’s ‘lost’ BC, Love said, ‘When you were born in-” abruptly caught himself & changed the subject. Why? What was he about to say that was so off-limits?
Howie says Love was about to say “Kenya”. & really, that’s the only thing that makes sense. If he’d been about to say ‘Hawaii’, why catch himself so sharply? Is it really taboo to mention that Obama was [supposedly] born in HI?
The only reading that makes sense is that Love was about to reveal info he shouldn’t, caught himself in time & cdn’t change the subject fast enough. In this respect, Howie is one-hundred percent correct.
Howie has also been wildly entertaining in speaking about Obama’s agent listing BHO as “born in Kenya”. First he mocked, scathingly, anybody who claims that info didn’t come from Obama. As if Obama wd not be asked such a basic question. Or in the event the info was common knowledge/public, as if the agent wd never once, in 16 yrs, allow BHO to view his own auto-biographical blurb. Howie just eviscerated those ideas—& had a lot of fun as he was doing it.
That’s interesting what you say about Howie Carr going birther. Due to my commuting patterns, I have not consistently listened to his program for quite a while. However, previously, he was consistently anti-birther and he has a segment on his program with Ann Coulter, who is also anti-birther.
Jay Severin, who was Howie’s main competition, consistently called Obama “the Kenyan.” When did Howie switch his stripes?
