People are basically unwilling to open their eyes to how much power the State has usurped from its citizens, in the past four decades, in America. Reluctant citizens, and de-facto subjects to an invisible behemoth of an entity. All-listening, too.

G’day! I’m an aussie too, been around here since 2003, and can’t believe what I’m seeing. Here’s hoping I’m six foot under before we see such antics in our fair country. I wouldn’t trade places with an American for all the iron ore in West Australia.
.... Seattle officials recently banned the “potentially offensive” word “citizen” from all public documents. Campus speech codes limit language to officially approved words. Young children are being expelled from school for making a gun shape with their hand or making a gun shape with a school pastry. Officials dictate the appropriate size of soft drinks . Government publications tell farmers how to milk cows. We have seen crackdowns on lemonade stands and girl scout cookie stands and happy meal toys. Food inspectors are checking children’s lunch bags to see if the contents meet USDA requirements. Everywhere we turn, helpful government officials are managing our lives.

And it's all happening in the LAND OF THE FREE AND THE BRAVE and they haven't even noticed!
We are in a police state, too many state and federal agencies (including the US Dept of Education of all departments) are heavily armed. Denial and naivety of what has happened to our country is detrimental to us all.

Too few voters refuse to acknowledge the heroes they elect to Congress are screwing them the day the arrive in DC.
It is Congress that is responsible for virtually every infringement we’re suffering today.
