Media keep saying that Martin was suspicious because he was black and wore a hoodie but that is not what the police interviews show. He was suspicious because he was looking into a house that had been targeted for a burglary two weeks earlier.

Maybe so in this case but either suspicion is legitimate for concern. This idea that young black males are not cause for criminal suspicion is complete BS.

I saw a kid out of place in my neighborhood two summers ago. My neighbor had just been robbed and I knew the description of the boys that did it. The kid I saw was carrying a strange bag walking up and down the streets in the middle of the day. I followed him and then called the police. He ran between houses when he realized the police were looking for him.

Was I profiling? Yep, and I had good reason for it. We all would have done the same.
