Maybe AIDS too but definitely the visual and verbal signs of alcoholism.
He had cancer of the salivary glands and I think some of the jaw bone was also involved/removed. Look at older photos of him and compare to now. The surgery and treatment have affected his speech, and it seems more pronounced at the end of a long day.
As much as I disagree with the man’s past and present politics, I wouldn’t wish the health battle he’s been through (and still fighting?) on anyone. Not even him.
