Today that son who I’m keeping... :) ... and I went to take care of business at the mortuary. I mentioned that cremation disgusts me and isn’t my first choice. Remember?
Back up. The Pastor met us there, too.
Continuing.... after we got the paperwork junk taken care of I asked the man working with us how Ron would look at this stage of the game, would it be possible to see his body? He said what he said...(I’m not going into detail). The pastor asked my boy and I, (who I’m kidnapping), if we’d like him to go look FOR us and give us his opinion.
He came back grinning, told us to go on back. So...we went. I’ll tell you, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO VERY HAPPY that I did that. So. Very. Happy. He looked better today than he would’ve if we’d done the regular funeral. I’ve been to many, most of you have, you know what I mean.
I kept bouncing up off the chair to leave the three men talking and went back to look again. And again. And again. And ........ many more agains.
I got to go IN and give him a little kiss on his forehead. One last time.

I still don’t like what’s coming up, but I am MOST grateful for the opportunity to do that one last time. Thank you Lord.
The service will be held at a church on Sunday in the early afternoon. I was NOT kidding about any Freepers who live in the area to come if you want to. I’d LOVE to say come over for food but um, BYOF is going to be the order of the day. Ha!

One of my daughters is putting together a collage of pictures for a display she’s making. I didn’t ask her to, she just did it. Cool beans.
I have some immediate prayer requests if you don’t mind. To say the i’s weren’t dotted and the t’s crossed...appears to be more of a reality than I thought. I sort of have an upcoming mess on my hands. I can work most of it out, Lord willing...some of it’s going to be a bit tricky, calling in accountants and stuff. I know them, I trust them, but I’m in Full-Bore-Stupid-Mode right now so that makes this all the harder.
It WILL work out in the end, but I need prayer that the right people are contacted, they can work together to help me, and it can all work out with the minimum amount of stress.
Anyway....thanks for the prayers so far. I covet them.
