Whether posters agree on a point is not the point, the point is civility.
Of all posters I have read on FR, or on any site... going back to dial up text BBSs, most of your posts are by far the most abrasive I have ever encountered.
I can’t help thinking that the more agitated the “anti-birthers” become, and the more that show up to grouse, the more likely the story has some elements of truth to it. It’s the old flak-over-the target effect, and very soon we’ll see a direct hit, with a resulting firestorm that cannot be extinguished.....Flacons, mes amis.
Then you haven't read the posts that have been directed at me for the past two years.
Either that, or you are filtering them out.
But some of them I know you haven't read. So I'm sure it's not just a filtering issue.
But a lot of it is. By my count, I've been insulted, threatened and poked at a total of 12 times so far in this thread alone.
And this is an unusually short thread.
As I say, I started out trying to be very polite. But this is what I've put up with now from birther @$$holes pretty much every day for the past two years.
So again. That's the tone these jerks wanted. So that's the tone these jerks have got.
It's not just that, though. There is another reason for me to disdain birthers, which is that it doesn't matter how many times or how thoroughly their BS is disproven, they keep on endlessly posting utter bullcrap.
They are charlatans, con men operating in the name of conservatism, and trying to lead conservatives astray.
When you get right down to it, there is no possible outcome of their bull**** except trouble for the conservative cause.
Now you might not think that con men trying to screw things up for the conservative cause is worthy of disdain and ridicule. But I do.
