I really don’t think this will happen. After Rodney King, the LAPD took a nasty attitude about future rioting. The police across the US have seriously gone paramilitary, so efforts at riot may be more than they bargained for .

I wouldn't bet YOUR money on that. Should there be riots and should they be large, I fully expect the police to turn tail and run as they did in LA in 92. Anyone expecting the "thin blue line" to stand between themselves and chaos will soon be a statistic.

The thin blue line is a LOT thicker when it is backed up with an armed citizenry. Remember that on the first day of the RK riot, the rioters savaged the adjacent Korean community. By day two any rioter who would have even entered the Korean neighborhood would have been gunned down from several directions.

Because of Obama, most of America is armed to the teeth. So if the rioters want to burn down their own ‘hood, fine. But they step outside of it and there are going to be dead rioters.

As far as the cops go, I have a friend who was flown to LA after the RK riots, and the cops there have gone to an extreme in planning for the next riot, including plans to set up tent internment camps in parks and out in the desert. They also purchased some very advanced weaponry and less than lethal stuff, including 55 gallon drums of a surfactant that makes asphalt and concrete so slick you cannot walk across it.

Bottom line, the riot may quickly turn into a “police riot”, with a lot of rioters getting hurt.

I’ll stand by my last statement....we’ll see who’s right.

Even if they don't turn tail and run, they will be so occupied they won't be able to help everyone who might need it.

I won't be surprised if they are ordered to stand down just for PC reasons.
