Keep the faith and keep on prepping however little you can.
Make real friends where ever you land.
pray.
Best of luck to you.

My attitude exactly.
This whole sh!tt!ng mess has to implode before it can be fixed.
Please don't be terrified. Start with cheap basics again, beans and rice. Determine how to have water and store some. Just that will keep you alive. Add canned meat every week and a few cans of veggies and soup. Add toilet paper as you can. If you just do that, you will feel better, and keep adding. If you need suggestions, send me a Freepmail.
Now, by no means am I suggesting not prepping. I am doing it myself.
However, this world is not our home. What is seen is temporal, what is unseen is eternal.
The best prepping is being prepared for eternity.
One such person Kart speaks of, insulted both Kart and me, called me a derogatory name and said Kart and I would split up the United States when the disaster happened, and Kart would rule half the states and I would rule the other half.
Kart, we have not yet divided the states between us.
I really believe people have no clue about how damaging Obamacare is going to be for our economy. The middle class is going to get crushed by the increased costs of healthcare and insurance.
I don’t believe our economy can absorb this.
That’s a funny chart.
“Years into RECOVERY”.
LMBO.
Funny you should say that... it is in my nature and instinct. I bought a lb bag of rice and my kids said “mom, we have three bag of rice in the pantry” and I said, so now we have four....
Yeah. I am glad I know how to cook from scratch. Going to grab some beans on the next trip.
Thank you. Even after my post, I realized I can grab a can here and a can there.
I started once, I can start again. Even in a ‘big city’, I can prep!
And again, He will see us through. He sent me to a very old fashioned church (who all see the end times that I do) and we will all get through it together. I am so proud of my pastor. He sees it, he preaches it, and as shrinking (sad) as our church is, we will get through it.
Thank you. Maybe other folks with ingredients of ‘onion soup’ will call on me.
I do have a knack for cooking from scratch. If they have ingredients, I can make food from it.
Yes.
Next question...
Agreed... Wasn'[t there a recent poll showing a majority of Americans aren't even aware of Obamacare, or the fact it's "the law."
Barky and Nan were master magicians, in getting support for a law people knew nothing about, assuming that Barky and Nan love them, and are just looking out for their best interests. Then the same public promptly forget about it, and went on watching "The Real Housewives" and "Dancing with the Stars." The magic was making sure nothing painful was implemented before the 2012 elections, and hoping most people wouldn't notice how bad things are before 2014... Though there may be plans for a "wag the dog" scheme.
But you're right... Between flooding the health care system with new patients who have no way to pay for it, by cutting payments to the providers, and flooding the country with nearly 50 million unskilled "workers" who speak little or know english over the next couple of years, the whole thing will collapse. Cloward-Piven's theory will be put to the test.

Excellent!
See, you know exactly what to do.
It’s easy to let fear take over, even when you know what to do and are doing it. I think that’s Satan’s work - to make us feel as bad as possible. Try not to worry and just keep trudging forward, as you are doing.
Kart, you got it all wrong, I meant no insult in anyway shape or form, all I meant is that getting out of debt, no matter how hard you try isn’t always that easy.
I’ve been on your side all along, backed you up and defended you to others.
We’re good right?
Miss Marcella, ma’am, like I (just got around to it) told Kart, the only thing I meant was that no matter how hard you work, and try getting out of debt isn’t always so easy.
You know I’ve got nothing but the utmost respect for you ma’am, at least I hope you do.
And anybody slinging mud (calling names) well, I always jusy assumed they were stuck on stupid and ignore people like that.
I’ve noticed the longer I’m on Free Republic the site seems to be getting a few more trolls than we used to, but ma’am I surely ain’t one of them.
I read every word that Kart posts, and read your post a couple of times (no offense to Kart), cause I know the “voice’ of wisdom when I read it.
Hope I’ve explained myself, didn’t realize that my post “sounded” as “harsh” or an insult.
Don’t worry, your post wasn’t harsh and I didn’t take it that way. You’re one of the good guys with the best tag line on this forum.
You may have debt and that’s not easy to deal with. I’d make minimum payments until I had enough preps including some cash, to get me through an emergency, then make more than the minimum payment. Preparing for life is first, then debt. Life takes many turns and we have to adjust as we take these turns. Make a plan and it feels better to have control of your life.
Thanks for your post.
