So they classified the father as ‘other, non-white’ because he refused the classification of negro, and insisted upon AFRICAN?
I guess if I was the clerk, I would have done the same.
If they actually classified him as that at all, which I don’t think we know.
From what I understand, the federal data was entered by the feds, based on microfilm copies of birth certificates sent to them by the states.
So (again contrary to the claims of the Cold Case Posse) we don’t even know how the feds classified the parents.
In fact, I’m not sure they even did. I remember reading something about it, but I can’t recall the details right now. Anyway, the manual is there. You can look at the specs for yourself.
