For clarity, here is the picture in question, where I have laid out a primitive outline showing the quite possible (and in my opinion, probable) position of the grandpa's arm, making the photo plausible in my opinion.

That’s impossible unless Grandpa has monkey arms! With his shoulder at that angle it would be impossible for his hand to get to Barry’s shoulder unless he has abnormally long arms (monkey arms). I’ve tried it and it can’t work, give it a try.

Based on your primitive outline, you can clearly see that Grandpa’s jacket does not follow your outline, making the angle improbable. Clearly, Grandpa’s left arm is at his side and more in line with Obama’s unusually long right arm.
