There is a media blackout because there is a force behind the scenes that is threatening people in the media.
He says most of the talking heads we know have said they want to talk to him but they fear the consequences.

I don’t believe for one minute that if the minions of a Republican president were threatening them the press would remain silent. Hell, they’d be shouting it from every rooftop in the land.
The media saw what happened to Breitbart, which in light of the castration of conservative groups by the IRS and other agencies becomes a chilling reality now that he was silenced just like the Tea Party was.

The local talk show host used to be hot on the case of the birth certificate. One day - abruptly - the audience was told it was no longer a topic to be discussed. Anyone who called in was cut off if they brought it up. Absolutely the host sounded frightened if the topic was brought up.
Even Rush qualifies his statements about the topic. When he mentions it he is explicit that it is some aspect in the news he’s referring to, not the birth certificate.
It seems implausible that there are not some news people who know a lot about what is not being told and don’t have the USA fortitude to let their conscience come forth; unless the threats to their well being override any patriotic bravado. There is more than just Chicago thuggery involved here. It will be interesting to see how the ‘Spirit of 76’ plays out on the 4th of July. I’m betting Obama comes out with a Muslim Taquiry(?) on that date.
