5-year-old Interrogated by School Until He Wets His Pants... Because of Cap Gun

Ok, come on. It seems like school officials are going nuts these days. Kids can't play "Cowboys and Indians," because that could lead to gun "violence." (Not to mention that the game is so un-PC.) Kids can't think of a gun, draw a gun, or even hold their fingers in the shape of a gun. So imagine what happened when a 5-year-old child brought a cap gun to school.

As reported by The Washington Post, "a kindergartner who brought a cowboy-style cap gun onto his Calvert County school bus was suspended for 10 days after showing a friend the orange-tipped toy, which he had tucked inside his backpack on his way to school"

The child was questioned for more than two hours before his mother was called, she said, adding that he uncharacteristically wet his pants during the episode. The boy is 5 -- "all bugs and frogs and cowboys," his mother said.

"I have no problem that he had a consequence to his behavior," said the mother, who asked that her name be withheld to protect her son's privacy.

"What I have a problem with is the severity," she said, and the way it was handled.

According to the story on The Daily Caller, the boy brought the gun to school "because his friend had brought a water gun the previous day. He later told his mother than he 'really, really' wanted his friend to see it."

So... the boy brings a orange-tipped, cap gun to school and gets suspended for 10 days and gets "questioned" by school officials for two hours. Two hours!

Schools have gone completely overboard. But get this... consider what would have happened to the little boy if the cap gun has actually been "loaded." The Washington Post reports that "it would have been deemed an explosive and police would have been called in." An explosive? Has everyone gone insane? Would they have sent in the bomb squad to "disarm" this device?

"The school was quite obviously taking it very seriously, and he's 5 years old," she said. "Why were we not immediately contacted?"

The family's attorney, Robin Ficker, said that the age of the child is important and that the incident could have been used as a teachable moment.

"Kids play cowboys and Indians," he said. "They play cops and robbers. You're talking about a little 5-year-old here."

I feel so bad for this little boy, and if there are any penalties enforced, they should be against the school officials. Let's have some common sense for a change!

School administrators are wasting their time on episodes like this. They’ve lost their moral compass, and just drifting around with no real grasp or understanding of society around them.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Yuri Besmenov called it “demoralization”.

The Marxists have won and conservatives let them and continue to let them.

I know. We wouldn't stand for it. Parents need to take back the schools. They are out of control and are damaging children.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

How do you “take back” the following?

**Schools build upon a single-payer, compulsory-use, compulsory-funded, and socialist entitlement foundation? ( That **IS** what public schools are and **always** have been!)

**Schools that are godless in their worldview by law. ( That **IS** the religious worldview taught in EVERY government owned and run socialist-entitlement K-12 school in this nation.)

** Schools whose curriculum and textbooks were developed by Marxists. ( That is the case for government owned and run socialist-entitlement K-12 schools across the nation.)

** Schools that are STUFFED TO THE BRIM with teachers and principals who were trained under Marxists professors in their Marxist dominated colleges of education.

Answer: They can't be taken back. They need to ABOLISHED. They should be razed to the ground, the foundations dug up, and the ground salted!

The boy needs to be pulled out of public school. He will have a notation in his record that will not be expunged. Even with a court order to expunge it will still be there and he will be treated for the rest of his school career as a dangerous psychotic.

Anybody who sends their kid to a government school is ipso facto guilty of child abuse.

"I have no problem that he had a consequence to his behavior," said the mother, who asked that her name be withheld to protect her son's privacy.

He had no "behavior" to have a consequence for. He had no bad intent. He harmed nobody. His possession of the gun broke no laws. This was an "ACT" that got him a consequence, an act which has been banned for no good reason, except to ensure that boys don't get to be boys.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong; but I was under the impression that under federal law, you could not question or interrogate a minor unless one of their parents was present. Is that true?
*********************************************
He wasn’t charged with a crime ... and who says it’s you’re kid anyway... the school , in the eyes of the court , takes the legal role of substitute parent during school hours. How do you think they not only permit but encourage the school nurse to take 13 year old Susie to PP for a quickie abortion so she can be back on the bus home at 3pm?

But it won’t happen.....there are not enough parents who care to protect children these days. They prefer the schools continue to “babysit” their children with no regard or concern of what they are taught...and worse what they are NOT taught that should be.
