A pleasant surprise! Usually when one sees a headline reading “X cannot beat Y”, it is because X is “too extreme” or “polarizing”, or doesn’t have a history of handing out goodies.
I like seeing someone go the other way on this. On the face of it, his motivations are the right ones. Go Maness.
And double points for using the tag “Rove Republican”. Gets the point across in two words, five syllables and with alliteration. Good.
And this line is great: “We don’t believe that Rep. Cassidy will take away enough votes from us for it to be a concern.”
