This entire article, like pretty much everything ever posted by birthers, is simply false. I've listened to the audio - TWICE - and the NPR executive named simply doesn't say what the article claims.

Reality: No, she didn't say any such thing.

Article: Senior Director of Institutional Giving for NPR Betsy Liley said it is still a question of whether or not Barack Obama was born in the United States.

Reality: Actually, she said that PEOPLE still question whether Obama was born in the United States.

Article: She clearly is heard talking about a coverup, keeping the birther issue out of the news because it was “political” and even indicating that there was monkey business going on in Hawaii concerning Obama’s birth certificate.

Reality: She's not heard talking about any "coverup." She does say that they don't cover the birther stuff. Neither does practically anybody else.

She doesn't indicate why. She just says they don't cover it.

And she doesn't "indicate there was monkey business going on in Hawaii concerning Obama's birth certificate."

Literally every claim of any significance at all made in the article is false.

The meat of the article is two sentences. In those two sentences are four obviously false claims.

But that doesn't stop "Seizethecarp" from posting it here.

Liley: “I don’t know any who are Democrats. But they are primarily conservative commentators and the people who follow them question whether Obama is...to run for president you have to be born in the U.S. For many other offices you don’t have to, but that office you do have to be born in the U.S. And there still IS a question about whether he IS, and that IS a FACT!”

If the fellow-travelers at NPR KNOW that it is a FACT that “there still is a question about whether” Barry was “born in the U.S.,” they are actually BIRTHERS!!!

Isn’t it about time for FR after-birthers, SPs and FogBlower trolls to admit that deep down THEY are birthers, TOO?
