They got their U.S. Citizenship through ‘Derivative Naturalization’ via the ‘Act of February 10, 1855’ by marrying their U.S. citizen husbands. With that said, both Herbert and Woodrow were born to TWO U.S. citizen parents which later qualified them for Article 2 Section 1 to be president.
