Here is the position paper: http://www.tfrw.org/UserContent/UserFiles/Immigration%20Policy%20statement%20with%20Hodges%20sig.pdf
written and promoted in the Texas group. The construction/ restaurant industries control our politics and scuttle our immigration enforcement bills EVERY SINGLE TIME.They send out Insurance salesman Norman Adams and Restaurant owner Brad Bailey to the hob-nob republican luncheon circuit to keep these “Republicans” in line.
Center for immigration Studies references the Texas Solution here: http://www.cis.org/krikorian/gop-platform-jobs-jobs-jobs--illegal-aliens
Currently, this(Tx Solution) lobby is also pushing to overturn requirements for citizenship for a Texas Drivers License.
They need that poll to show they did not stray from viewpoints supported by their flock. However really they did, many were surprised by this little alignment.
You be added!
“3. Round up all the illegal aliens and send them back.”
Not even needed. Just end the freebies and enforce employment laws. Once they have no goodies and no job here, they WILL be drawn back to a Mexico that is actually booming economically right now.
Like most large Republican groups these days, the NFRW is fractured. However, we all band together to do the work. And as far as Conservatism being rejected? It’s our fault because we suck with our message and our messengers. As long as we keep doing exactly this...fighting about who does what and how Conservative they are, we will never regain power..and that’s what it’s ultimately about. Democrats know this, so they band together to make sure, no matter what, their candidates are elected, even if it’s not their ideal candidate. Until we realize that, we’re screwed.
I am a President of a Federated Club in Arizona, have been for four years. I did not step down when I ran for office, which I ultimately won. I’m still a President, I am Conservative and I am proud to be a member of NFRW
Congrats.
When I ran for assembly in CA, early ‘90, I was told that I could not hold office in FRW and run for an elected office.
Really? I’m surprised. I’m in Arizona. Our Governor, Jan Brewer is a member of AZFRW and I think she was a President when she ran, like me, for County Supervisor.
Did you win your office?
Nope.
A liberal democrat did, it was a great experience, however.
Yes, it is. Until you run for office, you have no idea how much work it is, and how expensive it is to do it right. And that’s the problem.
Tee hee!
