“Won't be surprised if Congress writes a bill banning 3D printers.”

In East Germany, every typewriter was registered with the state and possession of an unregistered typewriter sent you to the gulag. The Internet isn't a typewriter and Congress would find it hard to control a product necessary to various industries. Think: huge potential Black Market similar to what happened during Prohibition.

I don’t think that the unions would be too happy about them,either.This sort of technology would by pass the manufacturing and transportation unions, allowing anyone to create anything and sell it anywhere, without union intervention.
