Libertarianism does not agree that defending the innocent and helpless is a legitimate liberty interest the state should respect.

Exactly!

Because Libertarians remove the primacy of God from the equation, whereas our founders, started with the primacy of God and his laws as the foundation of how they setup the government.

"This is bull-bunk. It says that conservatives don't believe in personal freedom, and leaves out the fact that libertarians support sodomy and abortion."

You appear to be very familiar with "bull-bunk" as we see it clearly on display here.

Number one: not all conservatives fail to support personal freedom, but some do, as you yourself stand as proof.

Number two: Libertarians do NOT "support" sodomy and abortion, any more than you do. What Libertarians DO support is keeping the government and busybodies like you out of other peoples private business.

As far as I am concerned, that's not only common sense, it's also the principled conservative position. Yours is the moralistic statist point of view - exactly as portrayed in the chart.

Agreed.

The Big-L Libertarians lost me a few years ago on amnesty for illegals and their 'surrender monkey' tendencies post-911. But considering that victory is no longer our ultimate goal in warfare, maybe the LP was on to something regarding the latter.

It also declares that those “on the right” have unequivocal support for the USA PATRIOT Act. That makes it worth reminding all just who it was that strengthened the provisions of that Act (the leftist Democrats), i.e. aside from the fact that it was a non-conservative that enacted it in the first place.

If you are buying the flavor he is pushing, then you are ingesting RAT POISON!

If by "he" you mean Rand Paul, then you statement is the dumbest thing I have read on Free Republic this week. (Of course, it's still early in the week.)

Rand Paul is my senator. I voted for him, and I'm proud of that vote. Sure, every time you see his dad, you want to yell, "Put down the foreign policy and slowly back away!" But Rand Paul is NOT his dad.

If you want to know who the Dimocraps are scared of, just look at whom they attack. They're going after Rand Paul.

(I reserve the right to change my mind after I see his stand on immigration reform.)

Yes, I know separation of church and state was in a letter that the Supreme Court used (rather than the constitution) to take God out of schools and public arena.

I suggest you pick up a bible and a biology book. There is a SUPREME GOD, who has laid down NATURAL LAWS. You libertarians think that you can ignore these two facts. You can go down as many rabbit holes as you like, but it always comes back to these two, simple facts. Ignore God and His law at your own peril.

I am dismayed that there are people these days who believe conforming to natural law is "statist."

“Libertarians do not believe in a “Robust National Defense.””
_____________________________________________________________

This would have to be disproven beyond a doubt to win my vote for Rand Paul, and I won’t vote 3rd party if I can avoid it

But Rand Paul is a Republican, one who’s gone out of his way to reach out to Israel and move away from full libertarian FP... before he did, I wasn’t listening to him all that much, honestly.

He knows the straight Libertarian platform isn’t electable for president, and for most of the reasons yhou mension

Liberaltarians. No use for them. They aren’t conservatives.

I have no use for Leftists who just want more of their own money.

Our Nation and our Constitution were created for a God-believing, Moral, and educated people.

Ignore God and His law at your own peril.

It will do you no good at all to thump your Bible at me. I've already been Bible thumped by the best of them.

BTW, conforming to natural law is natural and self enforcing, and does not require the intervention of anyone, let alone the Leviathan.

And yet here is Rand Paul advocating for Amnesty, one of the more onerous of the Libertarian positions.
