Arabs are Semites, and speak Arabic. "Iranians," are Persian, and speak Farsi.

I didn't understand the "Arab spring," comment above, that's why I posted this.

I understood the term “Arab Spring” also to be just a shorthand way of encapsulating the broad set of events, since after all the Copts in Egypt (Christian before the Arab Islamic invasion) and the Berbers in northern Africa (mostly Christian before the Arab Islamic invasions) are not Arabs either but were present in the geopolitical circumstances.
