They don't have to be zotted, many of the "Romney purge" simply had their posting privileges terminated while their home pages appear to be active.
Good try but I don't think that is possible.
And if it was, I doubt that management would take their valuable time to put people on like that.
If a member's profile page seems active, it is.
Now some pages say "this poster is banned or suspended" or something like that when they are actually not banned. The legendary Senator Pardek was the first to do that, everyone else are just copycats.
Some members like to do that to see who they can fool.
