After a while, particularly at the end of her stay here, she seemed like the sort one would be better able to know in person. Political conversations can turn both ideas and persons into caricature, sadly enough. I thought I saw some of that occurring as part of why she ended up hunkering more strongly than she may have liked...into rhetorical corners others assisted painting her into.
