My wife and I homeschooled our children...
Each state only needs to do a couple of things...
1. Set educational standards
2. Make sure every kid is being educated...
The rest belong to each school district and the parents...
Washington DC should have nothing to do with education...at all..
i homeschool my sons (12 and soon to be 17)... in which state did you homeschool your children?
And what standard of education will the state use? It's standard? Well?...We know what that is! Answer: Illiterate and innumerate high school grads clutching diplomas they can't read.
The state can NOT “make sure” every kid is being educated when the state can't do that for the children compelled to be imprisoned in its own schools.
The state passes illiterates and innumerates from grade to grade all the time. Far too many are even awarded high school diplomas. So? Are the state's standards illiterate and innumerate?
My wife and I have homeschooled our children right from the get-go. We’re now going on fifteen years, with another eight or so until we’re done.
All the state needs to know is that my children’s education is none of their business.
As others have already said, you’re still barking up the wrong tree.
I find it troubling, if not damn amazing, that now that many years ago, an 8th grade eduction was all anyone really needed to make the U.S. as great as it is (was).
How far down the ladder has the U.S. slipped since the teachers unions and the DoE came into being?
