Billions of rounds of hollow points, black helicopters- what does it all mean?

At IBD Andrew Malcolm ask the question:

Why are the feds loading up on so much ammo?

In a puzzling, unexplained development, the Obama administration has been buying and storing vast amounts of ammunition in recent months, with the Department of Homeland Security just placing another order for an additional 21.6 million rounds.

Several other agencies of the federal government also began buying large quantities of bullets last year. The Social Security Administration, for instance, not normally considered on the frontlines of anything but dealing with seniors, explained that its purchase of millions of rounds was for special agents' required quarterly weapons qualifications. They must be pretty poor shots.

But DHS has been silent about its need for numerous orders of bullets in the multiple millions. Indeed, Examiner writer Ryan Keller points out Janet Napolitano's agency illegally redacted information from some ammunition solicitation forms following media inquiries.

This administration did something illegal? Shocking.

DHS could shoot us all- with hollow points:

According to one estimate, just since last spring DHS has stockpiled more than 1.6 billion bullets, mainly .40 caliber and 9mm. That's sufficient firepower to shoot every American about five times. Including illegal immigrants.

To provide some perspective, experts estimate that at the peak of the Iraq war American troops were firing around 5.5 million rounds per month. At that rate, DHS is armed now for a 24-year Iraq war.

Question is, against whom?

Did Obama hint at why in 2008?

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

It's not just this either. Events start to add up:

Black helicopters appear in US cities:

Miami

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1BhRNfY1lo

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Some members of the U.S. military were busy in Miami Thursday night as they conducted exercises in Downtown Miami.

CBS4 captured video of Black Hawk helicopters flying over the city as part of a joint military training exercise.

Thursday night’s training took place near the Stephen P. Clark Center in Miami and a nearby Metrorail station where troops could be seen rappelling from the military choppers onto the Metrorail station platform.

Houston

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The sight of Army helicopters and the sound of gunfire created a lot of concern Monday afternoon in one Houston neighborhood.

We received a lot of phones calls, Tweets and Facebook posts from worried neighbors, wondering what was going on.

SkyEye 13 HD was over the south side where at first look, it appeared there was a massive SWAT scene happening.

With military helicopters flying above her southeast Houston neighborhood, Frances Jerrals didn't know what to think.

"When you see this, you think the worst. When you hear this, you think the worst," Jerrals said.

And so, she passed along her concern.

"She told me 'don't come home it sounds like we're in a war zone. Guns, shooting, helicopters flying around the house,'" Isaac Robertson Jr. said.

The U.S. Army along with other agencies took over the old Carnegie Vanguard High School near Scott and Airport. There were armed men in fatigues, plenty of weapons and what many thought were real live rounds

"I felt like I was in a warzone." Jerrals said. "It was nonstop. I was terrified."

Gunfire? In a residential neighborhood? Yes, blanks, but without warning?

We had Janet Napolitano warning us of domestic terrorists such as US military veterans, pro-life groups and those opposing illegal immigration.

It means people on our side need as much Thorazine as the liberals did when they were screaming about these things during the Bush administration.

The ammunition orders for example, isn’t as much as people are making it out to be. If you get into the details, what has changed is they are making five year contracts versus yearly contracts. Ammunition orders under the Bush administration were around 230 million rounds per year so the increase isn’t that much. (also note, many of the ‘billions’ stories make it appear they are actually getting that much delivered, which isn’t true, they are simply contracting a negotiated price for up to a certain amount for a period of time).

What has changed, however, is going to half-decade contracts at one time. This has created bottlenecks in the system that has impacted supply and is in part, causing the shortages you are seeing now.

Southern California, today. One man, with a bit of psyops screed on the internet, and a few rounds has the southern part of the state on high alert and wasting tax dollars on overtime.

Folks have opinions about government tyrany, but reality is that one guy can tie up thousands of men and millions of dollars in resources.

Multiply by 100,000.

It means we need to think. We need to adapt. Keep an eye on what is going on. The government’s tactics are being telegraphed. CWII cannot be fought on the government’s terms.

I am sure that a sniper with a Barrett .50 caliber rifle could take out a black helicopter that was attacking Americans. Our biggest concern is the Feral Government dominated by fascists and muslims.

Their huge volume purchases are also making it more difficult and even impossible for the citizenry to find certain ammo..

After Sandy Hook, civilians went nuts buying ammo.. Good thing the gov't made most of their massive ammo purchases right before Sandy Hook. Hmmmmm, almost as if they knew Sandy Hook was going to happen!

First, they aren’t actually being delivered that much ammo, they are contracts to lock in the price for ‘up to’ that much. We don’t know how much they are actually buying within that contract.

Second, they have needed ‘that much’ for a long time, at least since 2001 they have been purchasing at least 230 million rounds per year. (and if you do the numbers, you’ll see the current half-decade contracts versus annual then are about the same total amounts).

Homeland Security is the umbrella that covers agencies like ICE, Border Patrols, Customs, FBI, etc. All of those agencies burn millions upon millions of millions of rounds at practice ranges alone. Who knows how many are also being stockpiled anticipating future shortages, etc.

My point is that people are making a big deal out of something that isn’t that much out of the norm. The libs screamed about Bush using these on them when he was President, now the roles are switched. This is a usual storyline that switches players as the PTBs switch.

Most helicopters can be put out of action by small caliber weapons such as 7.62 or 5.56. Military helicopters have some armor but mostly to protect the pilots and crew.

I think this may be one of the reasons why they switched from annual contract purchases to contracting for a half-decade instead. Create a supply bottleneck.

Good points but it doesn’t really explain it all away, particularly the military exercises.

Because the INFLATED budgets of many of those useless Agencies are available to spend on ammo. The Executive Branch, the Czars, and the Regulatory Agencies are slush-funds and packed with high-paid do-nothing friends and lackeys, and we could eliminate ALL the Regulatory Agencies, ALL their un-needed office/paper-pushers who stifle growth, and bleed taxpayer money for the SEIU/DNC coffers.

Without touching the Military, we could cut 50% of the Federal staffs and not miss a thing (we might even likely gain Freedom from interference with We The People).

“Good points but it doesn’t really explain it all away, particularly the military exercises.”

We’ve had more than the usual low-level flyovers here around Richmond, VA. Mostly choppers. It’s both annoying and suspicious.

The military exercises aren’t that unusual either. If you look up archive news stories for ‘operation urban warrior’ you will see these type of exercises taking place pretty regularly from the mid 90s through now. It is practice moving through urban areas that they can’t get on the practice range. I believe these really picked up after the Black Hawk Down incident when we saw a big gap in urban warfare knowledge.

Exactly. Because there is absolutely zero-difference between what the Bush administration desired for the country, versus what the Obama Regime desires for the country. /sarcasm

So how-come I no-got warm-fuzzies about the next 4-years and was so tickled to get another 1K rounds of Golden Tiger from SGAmmo this AM!

“Department of Homeland Security just placing another order for an additional 21.6 million rounds.”

The lucky thing is that it is being purchased by one of the most incompetent of all the incompetent Federal agencies.

It will only be a matter of months before they can’t find it, can’t account for it, and can’t explain it (and I’ll be buying some choice ammo at the local flea market.)

Reminds me of the whole DC sniper incident. Two idiots with a rifle brought havoc on that whole region. Now imagine sane people armed with high caliber rifles that can really reach out and touch someone. Oh, and those rifles rarely hold more than five rounds, but they are a very effective five rounds.
