Once again we the people have been treated to a dog and pony show of last minute brinkmanship with both sides fighting valiantly for their ideals.
I have been watching the stock market and it seems that the investors knew since Thursday how this would turn out.
I guess we all knew. In the end both sides agreed to raise taxes now and deal with the spending problem later.

Wall Street just had to count the number of senate Republicans with principles and they wouldn't have been far off from expecting a 89-8 vote on this.
