D.C. Police say they were asked directly by NBC News for permission and that permission was denied.

Since when do the police issue waivers to lawbreakers??? Their job is simply to enforce laws. Selective enforcement spells the end of freedom and the rule of law. We are now a Police State. Any thought or action contrary to that of the State will be dealt with by selective enforcement.
