Pagan Romans tried this, so to the Soviets and the Republican French—somehow it continues on—People are willing to die for their faith—they will go underground, they will hold out, until the foe is defeated. Not to worry—with Christ on our side—we are victorious.
The last line of your post says everything one needs to know about the persecution of Christians in Muslim countries.
There is a great fear of Christianity around the world. Sinful people are afraid of the Truth because the Truth condemns them. So they hide behind calls of “racism” and call Christians “bigots” and worse.
The thing is, Christ offers a relationship with the One True God and a more abundant life. All God asks is that we as His children surrender our lives to Him.
Unfortunately, that is something sinful people can’t do without His divine gift of faith. Therefore, it is incumbent on all Christians to pray for God’s divine intervention anywhere people of the faith suffer persecution.
Totalitarianism unchecked can and will take over EVERY thing. Witness current events.
It’s genocide people! Not extinction. Aided and abetted by Obama and anybody else who has promoted the Arab Spring. They are surrendering the Middle East and the rest of Africa to the Muslims - for what reason I know not. Maybe they think it will appease them - it will not it will only engender them with more religious fervor.
Of course their hatred of Israel also has everything to do with it.

Count down to Obama’s “mission accomplished” photo op.
One good turn deserves another...
Muslims doing genocide.

Extinction of Christians is never going to happen. History, has shown, in China, in the Roman Empire, in the Soviet Union, that the church grows under persecution and becomes more spiritual under persecution. God has promised Christians that he will never give them more than we can bear. When scoffers against, and persecutors of, Christians are dead and buried, the Church will be in heaven with the Lord. Count on it. (And by the way, apparently there are those on Free Republic who are also counting on the demise of the Church.) As I say, it’s never going to happen.
It’s not dead. It’s just gone underground and invisible.
Try to squish it, and it gets stronger.
