2010 FBI Crime Stats. Interesting stuff. The total number of murders in 2010 was 12,996, it's usually reported as that many firearm murders. The actual number of firearm murder is 8,775 (and the antis say there are 5000 kids killed by firearms, which would be 2/3?

Since we are debating national rifle control it's intresting to note that there were 358 rifle murders, rifles of all types, not just "assault weapons". 373 shotgun murders, 1704 knife killings, 1772 "other", and 745 "hands and feet including pushing".

Liberals do not care about facts. You can not bother them with facts. It is all about emotion and "feelings". They are scared of "evil guns" and so you can't have one.

I have go round and round, with family members that were petrified to be in my house with my guns, that I unloaded and locked up. ( I have sense lost the before mentioned guns, in a nasty boating accident )

I don’t deal with liberals. There are lots of normal people who have been disinformed by the media, and they can be educated.

There are more normal people than liberals. Libs own the information channels, so they seem like a majority.

At holiday parties over the last few days, the fact that there are less than 400 rifle murders has been widely accepted, and the discussion easily slides into why FedGov wants rifle control when it’s clearly not a problem.

since there were more killings by “hands and feet pushing” than by all types of rifles, I suggest a federal law mandating madatory registration of every human pairs of hands and feet, as, (1) they are a lot more accessible than rifles and (2) apparently, they are more frequently a “weapon of choice” in killings
