I’ve been in a scif that only opens its doors at certain times of the day. You have to use the bathroom at that time otherwise your SOL.

Ive been in a scif that only opens its doors at certain times of the day.LOL!! I'm willing to bet that a majority of people seeing your comment wouldn't even know what a 'scif' was. I, however, do. So, then, my question would be, how did *you* know that I would know such a thing?

Instead of saying the acronym , a scif is a secure closed facility. Like a prison but you can make coffee in there . It’s compartmented to restrict further access to sensitive information. Such as intelligence information.
Not necessarily top secret.

Not sure how to look at it - I tend to agree with your thought that it’s practice for large-scale control, but I also see where they need to enforce safety standards so it doesn’t turn into an OWS type event.

I was merely answering the fellow’s question as to how I would feed all these refugees.

Its ok to post guards at showers for security.
If requiring ID when inside its also ok to post guards outside to restrict incoming traffic.
It would be wrong to prevent people from leaving. That removes the equation they are there by choice.
I work at a facility that has armed guards at entrance. I have to abide by their rules but I am free to come and go as I please. So nothing wrong with my rules. I used to work detainee-ops overseas, so I'm familiar with guards at the entrance. It may be alarmist/overblown but the article says "under lockdown" ,which implies to me that they are not free to leave.

Sometimes....I hate being right. This is exactly what I have been seeing and talking about for two years. These camps are real. They are meant for a purpose. This storm situation is nothing more than a dry run. A dress rehearsal.
So...who are the crazy ones now?

The fault belong with the State of Louisiana
Namely democrat governor Blanco. I am sick of democrats not owning anything. Blanco owned Katrina and her side kick Democrat Mary Landrieu who prostituted her self and her state by accepting money for her vote on Obamacare. Luckily one is out and we are working on removing the other.

I guess you dont care that this is NOT a FEMA camp? What difference does that make? Since it is not a FEMA camp, does that mean you approve of its existence and its use?

Uh, no, and my comments have been quite clear that there are serious problems with this camp and how it is blocking people from getting calls or emails out about how bad it is. However, yelling at FEMA for what the State of New Jersey is doing in this camp is uninformed. This is Christie’s problem and queries need to be raised to Fatboy instead - just as most of the problems in Louisiana after Katrina were the fault of Blanco and Nagin and their underlings.

These camps are real. They are meant for a purpose. This is a temporary facility in a horse racetrack parking lot.
Did you even bother reading up on this before leaping to your pre-ordained conclusions?

Funny thing is, both actions are an attempt to get rid of a PoS.
