have locked boxes with audit trails, and count the ballots right at the local polling place.
ID is only one piece of the solution.
Need to ensure the COUNT is not fraudulent.
Oh, and don’t let the results out until ALL the polls have closed.... even if it means a couple days’ wait.
I remember a time when they would wait till Alaska and Hawaii would finish. Then we’d find out in the next morning at the earliest
