Classy, as always.
As Twitchy reported, Mitt Romney cancelled planned campaign rallies due to Hurricane Sandy and its devastation. On Sunday, the campaign began using its resources and its bus for East Coast storm relief efforts. On Monday, the campaign announced they would hold a disaster relief event in Dayton, Ohio.
That event was held today.
Time change for #Romney disaster relief event for #superstormsandy victims. Doors open at 10am. Event starts at 11am. #fb @ABC22FOX45

And the Left was out in petty force.
Lefties already furious that Romney is holding a benifit rally in Ohio. . maybe he should have held a prayer rally?

and? RT @markos Mitt Romney attends storm relief event. In Ohio. Sponsored by his campaign. dailykos.com/story/2012/10/

Romney doing a "storm relief" event in Ohio?!?! What a lying fraud. Politicizing a disaster is about as low as you can go. #RomneyFail
Rob Scaccia (@Scacman) October 30, 2012
Self-awareness is lost on this guy. What are you doing, sir?
As were the lapdogs in the media. As always, the Left and the media are concentric circles on a Venn diagram.
Note the sneer quotes.
Romney has arrived at his "storm relief event" in Dayton OH. Should see the candidate shortly
Holly Bailey (@hollybdc) October 30, 2012
"Storm relief event" in Dayton begins with the Romney bio campaign video touting his record as a leader & a problem-solver.

Ari Shapiro (@Ari_Shapiro) October 30, 2012
Gee, the campaign didnt miraculously whip up new press badges after the rally was cancelled and the relief event took its place? How dastardly! Why didnt they care more about press passes than, you know, the people devastated by the storm? Only the elitist lapdogs would think their passes to be of the utmost import.
The always asinine Frank Rich weighs in.
Couldn't Romney have found a non-swing state to do a photo op for #Sandy relief? Transparently tacky even by his standards
Frank Rich (@frankrichny) October 30, 2012
Look in the mirror, toots.
CNNs Donna Brazile chimes in with a case of the nutty.
Just look how distasteful it is that Romney is campaigning under the ruse of hurricane relief? #Sandy is still a dangerous storm Mr Romney!
Donna Brazile (@donnabrazile) October 30, 2012
Hey, Donna, you know whats distasteful? Constantly accusing people of racism. Also, what about President Obamas constant Look at me! Im in the Situation Room, all super serious and stuff photos?
David Shuster took a break from spewing sexist rants to also whine about the press passes. No, really. Thats his big argument.
Romney claims he is holding a "relief rally" today in OH. This lie underscored by press passes his camp issued. http://t.co/hdXgJqeI #TAN

And the pitiful Oliver Willis, of Media Matters, desperately cried out for a pat on the head from his Soros buddies.
mitt romney is campaigning on the back of hurricane sandy.

A New York Times reporter tweeted about politics creeping in.

Cue the ominous (and probably racist) music!
Conservatives pushed back against this nonsense.
Watching what liberals are saying about the Romney/Ryan team assisting in storm relief. Full-blown Romney Derangement Syndrome.
(@CatsPolitics) October 30, 2012
The fact that they're criticizing Romney for making his campaign visit a relief fund event says 2 things! 1)desperation! ok just 1 thing
robert walden (@robwalden85) October 31, 2012
I hate passive-aggressive "this is no time for campaigns" faux outrage. This is America. Democracy stops for nothing.
Dan McLaughlin (@baseballcrank) October 30, 2012
Boy, liberals are really upset that Romney is campaigning. I guess he should sit around at homer or something.
DrewM (@DrewMTips) October 30, 2012
@NICKinNOVA Oh boohoo.
DrewM (@DrewMTips) October 30, 2012
Seriously. Stop the pearl-clutching.
Plus, he wasnt even campaigning. On-scene photos and reports show that this was an event held to benefit those who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

It was good. Not a typical campaign rally. #Mitt didn't even speak from the main stage; he just stood on a table to the side. LadybugDawny
R. Jacques (@rfjjd) October 30, 2012
His comments were maybe 2 minutes. He wanted to keep the focus on #Sandy and not on #RomneyRyan2012. Class act. @LadybugDawny

Indeed. Also the American way? Rolling up ones sleeves and getting to work. Doing what needs to be done to help those in need, as individual Americans working together. Guess who did that?

And, thats part of where the derangement syndrome comes from. Taking matters into your own hands? That doesnt suit.
MSNBC attacks Romney's storm relief effort, would rather make people wait for big government to show up.
Sara for America (@saraforamerica) October 30, 2012
Bingo.
Kudos, Governor. And thank you to all who attended the event to aid those suffering from the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
Obozamma cannot have a fund or relief raiser like this (no Hollywooders) because the people who support him, mostly...don’t have anything to actually donate.
They aren’t going to give up their food stamps for anyone.
Romney will be damned if he does, and damned if he don’t.
If he had kept campaigning they’d be bitching about that.
He MSM, how about how your idiot oblunder is helping?
Ya lets have those in need of help who are most likely without power go to a freaking WEBSITE. Ya, that’ll help!
F’ing MORONS
Meanwhile, Obama (with his thumb up his a$$) “monitors” the situation from the Executive Mansion in DC.
Putz.
I don’t know why the left would mind Romney doing a storm relief event in the first place. Its not like the MSM is going to actually cover it.
They are mad because, once again, Romney played their gambit perfectly. They thought they could take Obama off the trail and force Mitt off the trail as well in the last 7 days. That way Obama would pose for photo ops while Mitt stalled somewhere waiting. Instead Mitt turned his rallies into relief efforts and trumped their photo ops. Delish. :)
Of course Romney did this to help his campaign. But he is also a very caring person as you can tell from his charitable contributions and deeds he has done.
What has Obama done (personally) this week to help anyone?
Nothing.
And I am sure this got media play in Ohio. This is the only way R&R can cut through the Obama friendly media.
Dick Morris said Obama would be out there laying sandbags and that Romney needed to match him sandbag for sandbag. Instead Obama is sitting on his ass while Mitt loads food trucks for the relief effort. Advantage Mitt. Guarantee Obama will be outside handing out shit tomorrow.
And he left 'Toon on the campaign trail so they didn't even have to cancel any of his scheduled campaign stops.
Tomorrow? Obama hands out sh!t every day. They don’t call ‘em Obamaphones for nothing. Heh.
Seriously, the MSM is just warming up here. Romney derangement syndrome is starting to spread. If he wins the characters on MSNBC are gonna need a lot of makeup to cover up their red faces of rage.
And yet on Greta tonight, Republican Haley Barbour called the storm a plus for Obama, because the media was focused on nothing else. His comments, plus Republican Chris Christie's effusive praise for Obama today, and Christie's tour with Obama tomorrow (without inviting Romney), makes me think the fix is in.
