I knew some CTs in the AGR program. Been a very long time. I got a tour of Oxford when she was in dry dock in Yokosuka.

Oxford was AGTR....huge compared to AGER's. We were 170 foot. 65 - 70 in crew....half of were CT's, rest of us General Service. I was the only Gunner's Mate. Couple of names I remember from Palm Beach were I-brancher Swanson, Mat-men Mayberry and Stevenson, T-branchers Featherer (not a typo; is 'erer',Kindergarden /or Kindergard (?), Brett /or Brent, and a guy we called 'MUD', CTA 1 name on tip of my tongue but just can't spit it out now.....can picture him....tall thin. Can also picture a couple of 'R's, but mind is blank for names at the moment. Think I heard sea-stories about every Comm/Sta and Security Group in the world.

I both commissioned and decommissioned her. Only other one who did was YN1 Smart. Made both cruises ----> North Atlantic and Med.

Good ship...good crew...good friends...good memories.

Not a question, but from your profile, I assume NovemberSierraAlpha. Answer not required.

Take care.
