Thanks, Candy Crowley. Now I Hate the Mainstream Media More than Ever

During the second presidential debate, President Obama uttered a line so full of ignorance that, if he were a Republican, it would be all anyone talked about afterward. Mitt Romney noted that gas prices are roughly double now what they were when Obama took office. Obama replied that gas prices were so low because the U.S. economy was about to go into collapse.

Obama never mentioned the effect of supply or demand on the price. He never mentioned the effect that Middle East instability has on the price of gas. He never mentioned that the mere possibility of an energy giant like the U.S. making the public decision to get serious about energy independence can bring prices down. He never allowed that his own energy policies have had any detrimental effect.

He blamed a collapse that had not happened yet for prices that had been lower for years than they are now.

What an economic buffoon.

But he is not being called out for that remark. The moderator just let it slide.

In another part of the debate, moderator Candy Crowley stepped in just when Romney had Obama on the ropes. The subject was Libya.

20 years from now the youth of America will learn that a log time ago the EIB Network was never invited to moderate any of the debates - only the leftist media.

Correcting that was Romney’s job, not Crowley’s.

“Now I Hate the Mainstream Media More than Ever”

Not me.

They reached “absolute zero” with me a long time ago. Will have to go up, because there is no more down. I was waiting for someone in a hotel lobby a a few weeks back and they had CNN on. I had to go outside - that stuff is total brain rot.

Did you watch how the debate “funtioned”?

I can’t remember for sure if Romney was given a chance to rebutt what O said that this writer is complaining about.

I’m not saying he was or wasn’t, but I recall several points in the debate where, after a limited back-and-forth, all of a sudden the moderator decided they had had enough of that topic, due to time or desire to address a different topic, and just cut it off right there.

I was listening to the debate on the radio, and working at the same time, so, again, not sure, but that could easily have been one of the times she kept Romney from responding to Obama’s lie or gaffe.

And had she chosen to, she could have asked O a follow-up about this statement...she asked follow-ups at times of her choice.

The statement WAS crazy. It begged to be addressed. I’m thinking there’s a reason why it WASN’T. Blaming Romney, until I know for sure what happened, is a bridge too far.

The debate format was asinine and the moderator was an ass. As are the members of the committee of GOPe dolts who accepted the mess.

The MSM has to be pro-Obama to survive for fear that they will not be allowed into the WH.

The same applies to their pro-islam stance. Just imagine anyone of them badmouthing islam and getting an assignment in a muslim country.

They would be toast if caught, and they know it.

Romney had to debate both Jabba, The Hut and the odongo at the same time with one hand tied behind his back. The worst is a tie, maybe even a win. The MSM’s in the tank for odongo was outed last night on national TV. Can you imagine the debate if Rush or Levin were the moderators. They’d have to carry the bones of odongo out on a stretcher within 5 minutes....LOL

True about the debate set-up.

The GOP cannot prevail in a dust up over these matters. Mitt Romney needs these debates more than Obama needs them. Look what the first debate did for him. He won by far more than anyone since such things have been measured.

Therefore, you go and you do your best to come across to the audience in a way that helps you.

Another example was how Biden behaved so badly against Ryan, the ticket actually got sympathetic response off of the stark behavior contrast between Biden and Ryan.

And now, going into the last debate, the Benghazi question is a hanging curve ball for Romney.

I agree with your opinion about the debate set-up going in, but there’s a time to play the hand you’re dealt and make the most of it you can.

So I guess we only differ in whether they could have prevailed in a fight over the set-up, whether it would’ve hurt them more not to debate than to debate, and whether so far they’ve still made the best of a stupid set-up.

I thought Obama’s best line was to the effect that he kept all his commitments that he made to voters—but as to those commitments he didn’t keep, it wasn’t because he didn’t try. Joe Biden can’t touch that!

I (we) can pee and moan all we want but what else does anyone expect from a chartered member (in good standing) of the FAR LEFT, corrupt, biased, in-the-tank-for Dear Reader, sycophant, Lame Stream Media.

THE BLAME RESTS SOLELY WITH THE RNC, THE CANDIDATES AND THE REPUBLITARD ESTABLISHMENT who EVERY Presidential Election, dutifully, put their gonads in a lock box and REFUSE to fight for at least "ONE" somewhat impartial Mod out of the 4 debates.

If anyone thinks the final debate will be any different, I've got some nice Ocean Front Property (In Arizona) for sale, cheap!!!

No, the GoP is in a very weak negotiating position. Consider the fact that journalism is completely simpatico with liberal politicians, and consider that therefore Journalism has zero interest in unbiased debates any more than they are interested in hiring unbiased reporters. Puttinf up with liberal moderators is a fact of life. The only possible way to get around that roadblock would be to get a majority in the Senate, house, andFCC license renewal.

While you’re at it, require that the debates include Power Point presentations, provided that each candidate has access to the basis for any statistic adduced.
