Uh...what?
Let’s get this out of the way early
Dylan is a dirty hippie and he can’t sing. He hates American, baseball, apple pie and Chevrolet and should go back where he came from.

I thought Mr. Zimmerman was Jewish.
You thought right. He embraced Jesus as Savior and testified explicitly to that
Do some internet research if you want details.
lol
Bob Dylan is a Jew, and hes clearly very serious about his Jewishness, but he also clearly enough sees no conflict with that and his belief in Jesus. Hes not alone in this, but due to our various baggage and traditions, many of us cant get our heads around that.
As if that is in some kind of way equitable to betraying our Lord and delivering him up to be crucified.

If Mr. Dylan has seen the light than I say God bless you brother. Welcome home!
He would not be the first Jew I’ve run into that considers Yeshua bin Yusef har Bethlehem the Messiah prophesized about hundreds of times in the Penteteuch, Psalms, and major Prophets.
These are the same people that tried to pin the name Judas on me. Judas, the most hated name in human history! If you think youve been called a bad name, try to work your way out from under that. Yeah, and for what? For playing an electric guitar? As if that is in some kind of way equitable to betraying our Lord and delivering him up to be crucified.
Its sorta hilarious and somewhat typical that he does it in this indirect way. But nonetheless he is obviously stating faith in Jesus as our Lord and therefore his Lordand also, by the way, his belief in the historicity of the gospels. (By the way, this is not unusual: its a belief common to most ordinary Americans, after all. Whats unusual is the endless analysis given to it in his case, because he is who he is.)
He then follows it up with what some may consider a vaguely un-Christian statement: All those evil motherf**kers can rot in hell.
Ping for later
Dylan is a Messianic Jew - a Jew who believes in Jesus as Savior and God incarnate. “You’re gonna have to serve someone”
Zimmerman was weird long before he was Dylan. In addition to owning most of his albums, I rarely (read never) perform without doing at least two Dylan songs. He is my all time favorite songwriter and musician. My guitar playing and performing was always closley aligned with the Dead and Dylan. I know this puts me at odds with most FReepers, but I was a Dylan fan long before I came to conservatism..
You mean Minnesota?
OK, but I see he also believes in Mofos. What’s up with that?
Not rying to be an a$$, but I don't recall talented singing, love of the USA, baseball, certain pastries, or automobile makes being described by Jesus, Peter, Paul, or any other author of the NT as necessary for salvation.
I have done missions work in Africa with local believers and believers from Canada, Europe, and Australia, and I can tell you that they love us americans, but don't really like the american government (no matter who sits in the oval office). And the resons the give for that lack of america love are pretty tough to argue with from a biblical basis, for that matter.
Jesus was a Jew that had no problem with christianity. I don’t see what is hard to wrap one’s head around. Or is this author saying that a lot of Christians are stupid?
Dylan became a Born Again Christian in the late 70s. Not sure he maintained that.
Actually, he doesn’t hate America. Read his book.. Probably one of the most misjudged cultural icons of our time.
