I assume that willard will do everything he can to consolidate power if he is elected, and the TEA party is a threat. Why would he not act to marginalize them?

That is EXACTLY what Romney and the Ruling Class Establishment DID on Tuesday of the RNC. It makes no difference at this point if Romney is elected or Obama remains - the GOPe and Romney ensured that grassroots Conservatives and the TEA Party will forever be an irrelevant force and player in national politics with the rules changes they made at Boehner's gavel in complete disregard of vocal opposition.

Which makes all this brow-beating by Romney operatives to intimidate anyone not supporting Romney as a 'traitor' deserving of death more than ridiculous considering what their political savior has already done to Conservatives.
