I feel like I ought to start out each of my articles anymore with a disclaimer, or caveat saying something along the lines of “WARNING: The contents of this article are to be considered null and void in the event of a “Reichstag Fire,” false flag event, and/or an invasion by Russian Spetsnaz in collusion with Northcom,“or words to that effect.
My intent is not to make light of such concerns, as God knows we have reason enough to be more than a bit edgy these days—what with the Patriot Act, NDAA, the torrent of Obama EOs (Executive Orders), various government agencies stockpiling millions of rounds of ammo, and other such things.
Personally, I am what you might call a cynical optimist—I hope for the best, but plan for the worst. I keep myself open to the idea that the US can peacefully pull itself out of the colossal mess that it is currently mired in—but I have enough guns, ammo, freeze dried food and whatnot to open a small survivalist store.
Be that as it may—the main topic that I wish to address in this article is my decision to back the Romney/Ryan ticket, and the fallout from that. Contrary to what some of you may think, I have not rushed off and enlisted in the “Dark Side.” I am as opposed to the Big Bank/ Big Corporation/Big Government/Big War cabal as ever...

In Matthew 22 Christ tells us that loving one another, together with first loving God, is most important and that this is obedience to all the Law and the Prophets.
But not to the exclusion of the Law and the prophets, which is usually where that doctrinal argument ends up.
Love as Jesus defines it, does not mean we accommodate, capitulate, go along with and accept ideas, behaviors and people that are antithetical to the Law and the Prophets, of which love from God is embodied.

I suppose to many American Christians, Jesus’ constant tone to the Scribes, the Pharisees and Saducees, by pointing out what they were, would be considered unChristian in this day and age of lukewarm Churchianity.
Jesus’ tone to the Pharisees was defined by his authority.
You and I don’t have that.
Maybe try telling that to the Apostle Paul.
After all, he got in Apostle Peter’s face publicly - TWICE.
I do not define love by how nicey nice and ‘understanding’ we are in the face of evil, or my tone being seen as compromise with sin and blatant wrong doing. Neither does scripture.
We have authority to call sin and evil and wrongdoing what they are. We have authority to show people “this is the way, walk in it”. We have authority to urge the faithful not to abandon their faith or principles. You might see that as an unChristian ‘tone’, but I don’t.
