TAMPA, Fla. Republican National Convention protesters sobbed in each others arms as their weeklong series of protests came to an abrupt and unremarkable end.
As Mitt Romney delivered his remarks at the RNC on Thursday night, marking the end of planned events, demonstrators living in the Romneyville protest camp led a final march through the streets of Tampa.
Following a fragmented march against the GOP, TheDCs photo team spoke to several protesters who said they were disappointed by low turnout at protests and the lack of open discussion between protesters and Republican leadership.
Referencing the large number of bicycle-based police officers, a protester named Lash told TheDC, we can see liberty crumbling on bikes.
Lash, 26, described himself as a conservative and a member of the Libertarian Party for six years as he sobbed on the shoulder of Mike, a fellow protester.
I love that we have an anarchist forum here, and I really love us, but I hate that our forum cant even talk with their conservative forum, he said. The police just silence us, the Republicans just silence us. We are just getting silenced everywhere we go. Its like no one wants to even hear what we have to say.
Mike, 26, told TheDC that he participated in Occupy Wall Street protests in New York City before arriving in Tampa.
Allegedly an MIT student (expelled for truancy issues), Mike said that he quit within a few months with just enough to get out and gave $50,000 to charitable causes. Since then, he says, hes barely had a dollar in his pocket.

I’m always believed the rate of mental disorders is higher than statistics show
“We threw a hissy fit and NO one paid attention!!!!!!!”
Lash, you sure you understand the differences between "Libertarian" and "conservative"?

Where did he get the $50,000 in the first place. This boy is certainly no brain surgeon. Might just be a lying sack of pooop though.
Oh, and then Lash talks about loving the fact they have an anarchist forum. Lash, you’re just REALLY confused...
Yeah, who do you think we are your mommy? We don't have to listen to your cr*p. ;-)
Is that her name, or is that her grievance?
They’re crying because apart from appearing at demonstrations and protests, they have no lives. They’re crying because now they have to find another reason for existing. But there’s always some leftist cause going on somewhere, and there’ll always be Soros money to keep them alive for another month or two. But what to do when Soros finally croaks? That’s alright, just as there’ll always be a leftist protest somewhere, there’ll always be some leftist billionaire (what a strange conjunction) to donate money to the pitiful blips who have no lives other than protesting something.
A sharp cookie.
One of America's greatest political satirists was Al Capp. He had these types pegged even back then:
I remember a “libertarian anarchist” forum. It was instrumental in starting the arab invasion and insurgency in iraq, and also, probably, in the installing of Obama since they telegraphed their intent beforehand. It was full of AQ and MB people, communists and nazists. And it folded right after the Obama win.
The Constitution grants you the right to speak.
There is no right to make others hear you.
Hopefully.

That was his government provided student “loan” that, like many mortgages a couple of years ago, never had a chance at being repaid.
Maybe he thinks he’s a “conservative/libertarian” because he’s willing to pay for his own pot instead of having the government do it for him.

The old adage re a broken clock springs immediately to mind . . .

You gave $50K to charity and want to whine that you are broke?
