I don't understand this guy's logic, or Akin's for that matter, the "oh woe is me" mea culpa. Akin did this to himself, nobody else did it to him, he was asked a question that is pretty much standard for any pro-life Republican running for office. Even worse, Akin is hardly a neophyte, he's a career politician, been in politics since like 1988 or something like that, a long long time to learn to apply a filter to what you're saying.
He blew it, plain and simple. Not everyone is cut out for prime-time, my only hope is that Akin doesn't say any more audacious nonsense for the rest of this campaign season.

Akin will be use down the road as an explanation for why Romney lost (as Socons just don't bother showing up)
Sure that's part of McCaskill's advisor's plans.
She spent an awful lot of hard to find campaign donations on Akin's campaign. He didn't complain.
