Wrong. The party abandoning him and jumping on the media bandwagon of bashing him is what's hurting him the most. He wouldn't be losing Republican and conservative votes if the others in his party weren't promising to undermine his campaign and run 3rd party against him and stuff. He has 10 weeks like everyone else to make his case to the voters. It's shameful that people are judging him on one comment without knowing him, looking at his record and so forth. It's incredibly shallow. We know that he'll get to show who he really is to the voters of Missouri if he gets the chance to run a campaign.
You have Romney and the RNC to blame if they deny him funding and he loses the race. If he loses, you'll never know if he could've won if they hadn't denied funding. Especially if it's close. The egg is going to be on the GOP establishment's face where it belongs most likely before this is over. Their abandonment of one of their own over nothing but a Democrat and liberal media smear is disgraceful.
The issue here is simple, Akin is just a stubborn SOB who won't admit his mistake, and his hilarious Apology Tour is just making it worse.
He alone is responsible for the outcry. He is not a Victim.
Don't blame the Adults in the room who understand how things work. Akin can't back away from using RAPE to somehow polish his Pro Life Credentials. All he has shown us is that he not ready for Prime Time.
The Electorate in MO is not populated by FR Posters. If it was, the impact of his stupidity would be severely diminished.
