What did Ted Kennedy, do after Chappaquiddick, What did Bill Clinton do after Monica Lewinsky, What did John Edwards do after being caught having an affair while running for President, What did Barney Frank do after being caught having an affair with a male prostitute, who also conducted his business in Franks home? You know what they did? They just kept on running for office, like the good scum that they are. They didn’t say something, they actually did something. So if they’re smart enough and can figure out the hypocrisy then they should know that people who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones! Having actually did something horrible and saying something horrible are not the same.
I expect more from our candidates than the scumbag Democrats.

His first response to his gaffe should have been to change the subject. I don't think that would have worked but would have been more dignified then trying to explain.

Among the many things that could be said in response to what you wrote, one is paramount. Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, and Barney Frank already held office when they did what they did. The one example that you gave who didn’t was Edwards, who went down to defeat and lasting infamy.
