With bbq, the secret is in the sauce.
Our grocery is having a sale this week (not exactly, but priced at what they were two years ago) on those Bumble Bee little meat and cracker packets. While not budget friendly, I bought out the shelves because I know we'll eat them if there isn't a shtf and they're more friendly looking than a can of spam since my family aren't on board. I dropped off several at the grandparents with a song and dance about them needing a grab and go bag in case there's a wildfire. Sigh, it still went over their heads even with them complaining just the day before that we're in a high fire risk area with one way out. I've tried and tried but it's like talking to a wall with them and they grew up during the Depression. At home, I have to hide the GOOD bag so it won't be eaten. If the family ever needs it and I'm not there to get it, they'll be up the creek.
