Sincere physicians merely need to say: ... Disagree. IT ISN'T ANY OF THEIR BUSINESS if I have firearms in my house. It isn't anyone's business except MINE if I have a BB gun or a ZPU-4 in my house

Amen!
Hell’o that little ZPU used to try to shoot me down. That should guarantee I have one on general principles.

Agreed it may not be any of their business but they are being used by the state ( Obamacare & control freaks in govt.) so why go out of your way to get on the fascist’s radar?

In my scenario, no one asks you about your guns; it doesn't matter to the doc if you have them or not. The only message here is the safety of the child, and as a child's advocate, the pediatrician has a right to say "If you have firearms, make sure they're secure from children." And, as I mentioned in the previous email, I would have no problem with that, as long as they warn about swimming pools, seat belts, and other potential dangers. Gun safety should not be made something special; that was my point.
