Yeah, I don’t have cable and don’t even have digital free
airwave stuff...I really don’t miss it, I do see TV at
other venues, but it really no longer interests me. Most
of it is flash/dash/ads. Very little factual stuff. As
far as those movies...if one really need to watch that stuff
someone has a problem (sin and otherwise)
Throw out the TV just once, you won’t believe how much
free time you suddenly have.
My brother and I only watch the tube when doing our exercise routines on our machines. He watches news, I do hockey or news when puck-slapping is not available. Keeps the boredom factor down. We both are within a pound or two of our teen-age weights!
As I mentioned in another post, I got rid of most of it, except for around 20 channels. That decision was a financial one, although I never was hooked on any programs, except the one I still watch, Inside Edition.
Flip side: you won't have any free time, and will wonder how you got anything done whilst blowing X hours a day staring at a box. (Retort: you didn't.)
