Is there any reason you can think of why you wouldn’t be responsible if you shoot and kill a bystander by accident? That’s the very definition of “Manslaughter,” NDCC 12.1-06-02, or, if you get a particularly liberal prosecutor, “Negligent Homicide,” NDCC 12.1-06-03.

Yeah, the stray was an accident that happened when taking down scum that was actively killing innocent people. Imperfect action does not equate to negligence.

No I don't have a pistol, but I will at least be holding an eyeball and some brains in 2 of my fingers when I finally expire.
